Job summary

Gallatin Center for Rehabilitation and Healing is seeking a compassionate Certified Occupational Therapy Assistant (COTA) to join our skilled nursing and rehabilitation team. The role supports residents' progress by implementing treatment plans in collaboration with the Occupational Therapist, focusing on independence in daily living activities.

You will document sessions, monitor progress, maintain a clean therapy environment, and collaborate with an interdisciplinary team.

Qualifications

• Licensed as a COTA in Tennessee.
• Graduate of an accredited OTA program.
• Experience in skilled nursing or rehabilitation setting preferred.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
• Compassionate, patient-focused approach to care.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.

Responsibilities

• Assist the Occupational Therapist in implementing treatment plans for residents.
• Provide therapy services to help patients regain independence in daily living activities.
• Document treatment sessions accurately and timely in accordance with facility and regulatory standards.
• Monitor and report patient progress or concerns to the Occupational Therapist.
• Maintain a clean, safe, and organized therapy environment.
• Collaborate with an interdisciplinary team to ensure optimal patient outcomes.
• Uphold all federal, state, and facility policies and procedures.
