Job summary

Gallatin Center for Rehabilitation and Healing is seeking a compassionate Certified Occupational Therapy Assistant (COTA) to join our skilled nursing and rehabilitation team. This is a full-time role with PRN options and opportunities to impact residents’ independence.

You will collaborate with the OT, document sessions, and contribute to a supportive, patient-focused care environment that values quality outcomes and professional growth.

Qualifications

• Current Tennessee COTA license required.
• Graduate of an accredited OTA program.
• Experience in a skilled nursing or rehabilitation setting preferred.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills.

Responsibilities

• Assist the Occupational Therapist in implementing treatment plans for residents.
• Provide therapy services to help patients regain independence in daily living activities.
• Document treatment sessions accurately and timely per standards.
• Monitor and report patient progress or concerns to the OT.
• Maintain a clean, safe, and organized therapy environment.
• Collaborate with an interdisciplinary team to ensure optimal outcomes.
• Uphold all policies and procedures.

• Assist the Occupational Therapist in implementing treatment plans for residents

• Monitor and report patient progress or concerns to the Occupational Therapist
• Maintain a clean, safe, and organized therapy environment
• Collaborate with an interdisciplinary team to ensure optimal patient outcomes
• Uphold all federal, state, and facility policies and procedures

Certified Occupational Therapy Assistant (COTA) Qualifications:

• Current Certified Occupational Therapy Assistant (COTA) license in the state of Tennessee
• Graduate of an accredited Occupational Therapy Assistant program
• Experience in a skilled nursing or rehabilitation setting preferred
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills
• Compassionate, patient-focused approach to care
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team
