Job summary

Sterling Therapy Providers in Springtown, PA seeks a Certified Occupational Therapy Assistant (COTA) to implement and supervise OT programs under an OT. Earn $30–$36 per hour with medical/dental/vision, 401K, holiday pay, PTO, overtime, and per diem.

Responsibilities include executing treatment plans, ADL/ROM exercises, group sessions, staff coordination, and careful documentation under OT supervision. State licensure/eligibility required, strong communication and organization skills essential.

Qualifications

• Graduate of an accredited Occupational Therapy Assistant Program certified by the AOTA. He/she must be certified and/or eligible for certification by the AOTA Certification Board.
• Licensed and/or eligible for licensure, as required by the state.
• Good organizational and time management skills.
• Good verbal and written communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Implements resident’s individualized treatment plan as defined by the primary Occupational Therapist.
• Provides individualized occupational therapy treatments including activities of daily living and range of motion exercises.
• Performs activities of daily living evaluations under the direction of the Occupational Therapist.
• Organizes and facilitates treatment groups in consultation with the Occupational Therapist.
• Instructs residents, families and other caregivers in the skills and techniques of the occupational therapy treatment program under the supervision of the Occupational Therapist.
• Works with other members of the rehabilitation team to develop programs and activities consistent with the needs and capabilities of each resident.
• Maintains appropriate and timely resident and non-resident documentation for all residents treated.
• Attends and contributes to resident care, staffing and other required meetings as a representative of occupational therapy, under the direction of the Occupational Therapist.
• Cleans, maintains, identifies and reports the need for repair of equipment, as necessary.
• Ensures that residents and families receive the highest quality of service in a caring and compassionate atmosphere that recognizes the individuals’ needs and rights.

POSITION SUMMARY:

The Occupational Therapy Assistant implements occupational therapy programs and provides occupational therapy treatments to residents to facilitate increased independence and functioning under the supervision of a Registered Occupational Therapist.

RESPONSIBLITIES/ACCOUNTABILITIES:
