Aventura at the Bay, formerly known as Maria Manor Nursing Care Center, has been recognized as one of the premier nursing and rehabilitation facilities in the Tampa Bay area. We have been a part of the St. Petersburg community for over 60 years and are committed to providing our patients and families with the highest quality of care.

We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Certified Occupational Therapy Assistant (COTA) to join our in-house rehabilitation team. The ideal candidate will assist in providing therapeutic services to patients with various conditions, helping them achieve their rehabilitation goals and improve their daily living skills.

Key Responsibilities:

• Collaborate with occupational therapists to develop and implement individualized treatment plans.
• Assist patients in performing therapeutic exercises and activities designed to enhance mobility and independence.
• Monitor and document patient progress, providing updates to the supervising occupational therapist.
• Educate patients and their families on home exercises and strategies for improved functionality.
• Maintain a safe and clean therapy environment, ensuring all equipment is properly sanitized and organized.
• Participate in team meetings and contribute to the overall goals of the rehabilitation program.

Qualifications:

• Current certification as an Occupational Therapy Assistant (COTA).
• Valid state licensure or eligibility for licensure.
• Previous experience in a rehabilitation setting preferred.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment.
