Job summary

Buonora Child Development Centers is seeking a Certified Occupational Therapy Assistant to join our team in providing evidence-based pediatric therapy across in-clinic and in-home settings in the San Fernando Valley region, including Reseda, Arleta and Van Nuys.

You will work collaboratively with families and a variety of professionals to develop care plans, monitor progress, and coach families to support ongoing development in daily activities.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Occupational Therapy Assistant required.

Responsibilities

• Establish individualized goals and a plan of care for each child and family.
• Support families and children with various diagnoses, needs, disabilities, and delays.
• Educate/foster family members to implement care between therapy sessions.
• Regularly document child’s growth and submit progress notes.

General Duties and Responsibilities:

• Establish individualized goals and a plan of care for each child and family that are directly related to their individual needs.
• Support families and children who possess various diagnoses, needs, disabilities, and developmental delays.
• Educate / "coach" a patient's family members to be more adept at accommodating and caring for the patient effectively in between therapy sessions.
• Regularly and accurately document child's growth and development and submit progress notes/reports when needed.

Qualifications:

• Bachelor's degree in Occupational Therapy Assistant program
• Certification as a Certified Occupational Therapy Assistant (COTA)

• Main office: Located in Reseda, CA 91335
• Satellite Locations: Arleta, CA 91331 and Van Nuys, CA 91406
