Job summary

Leaps & Bounds Pediatric Therapy is seeking a licensed Certified Occupational Therapist Assistant to join our collaborative outpatient team in Norco, CA. The role covers clinic, ranch, and telehealth settings with a strong focus on pediatric outcomes.

You will implement treatment plans, help children achieve daily living goals, document progress, and educate families. We offer growth, training, and a supportive environment that celebrates teamwork and patient-centered care.

Qualifications

• Valid California COTA license.
• Pediatric experience a plus.
• Livescan clearance required.
• TB test
• CPR Healthcare Provider Card.

Responsibilities

• Provide direct occupational therapy to children per treatment plans.
• Help children increase independence in daily living activities.
• Document patient performance and tally data.
• Prepare therapy materials and equipment for sessions.
• Adapt materials to patient needs and settings (clinic/ranch/telehealth).
• Communicate effectively with the team and families.
• Design home exercise programs after discharge.

Leaps & Bounds Pediatric Therapy is a multidisciplinary outpatient private practice in need of a licensed Certified Occupational Therapist Assistant. We are a growing and fast-paced campus that offers Physical, Occupational, and Speech therapy services in a traditional clinical setting, as well as on our ranch, with the incorporation of the horse as part of a comprehensive evidence-based plan (hippotherapy.)

Essential Functions

• Provide direct occupational therapy to children and follows documented treatment plans or protocols.
• Help patient accomplish goals outlines in treatment plan to increase independence in activities of daily living skills by administering therapeutic activities, and therapeutic exercises, and sensory skills.
• Document patient performance such as tallying data.
• Prepare therapy materials and/or equipment for use in therapy activities.
• Adapt or modify materials and equipment as determined by the needs of the patient.
• May work in a variety of setting including clinic, ranch, or tele health services.
• Communicate effectively in both oral and written formats.
• Collaborate with team members of other disciplines as well as administrative staff.
• Comply with federal, state, and local legal and professional requirements by studying existing and new legislation;?anticipating future legislation; enforcing adherence to.
• Contribute to team effort by accomplishing related results as needed.
• Assure continuation of therapeutic plan following discharge by designing home exercise programs; instructing patients, families, and caregivers in home exercise programs; recommending and/or providing assistive equipment with primary occupational therapist.
• Follow company policies and procedures.
• Perform other related duties as assigned.

The compensation range varies based on experience, $62,400.00 - $72,800.00a year.

Requirements

• Possess a valid California COTA License
• Pediatric experience a plus!
