Ultimate Therapy Services is hiring a full-time Certified Occupational Therapy Assistant at Autumn Lake at Madison in Madison, CT. You will work with skilled nursing residents, following the supervising OT's plan of care, to rebuild skills for daily activities.

Responsibilities include implementing therapy interventions, guiding residents through self-care tasks, and tracking progress with accurate notes. CT licensure and COTA certification are required; new grads welcome.

Qualifikationen

• Active CT Occupational Therapy Assistant license and COTA certification.
• Ability to follow treatment plans with attention to resident safety and comfort.
• Strong communication, organization, and documentation skills.
• New graduates welcome to apply; experience in skilled nursing is a plus.

Aufgaben

Ultimate Therapy Services is hiring a full-time Certified Occupational Therapy Assistant at Autumn Lake at Madison. Work with skilled nursing residents as they rebuild familiar skills and learn practical ways to manage daily activities, providing treatment under the supervising Occupational Therapist's guidance.

What You'll Do

• Carry out individualized interventions established in the OT's plan of care.
• Help residents practice dressing, bathing, grooming, and toileting with assistance and cueing suited to their abilities.
• Lead prescribed exercises and functional tasks that address upper-extremity movement, coordination, and activity tolerance.
• Teach and reinforce adaptive equipment techniques and energy conservation strategies outlined by the OT.
• Track residents' responses and communicate progress, challenges, or changes in function to the supervising therapist.
• Complete accurate treatment notes and collaborate with nursing and rehab staff to encourage use of therapy strategies throughout the day.
