Job summary

The Nexus at Berwyn is seeking a Certified Occupational Therapist Assistant (COTA) to assist licensed OTs in delivering rehabilitative services to residents. You will implement individualized treatment plans to promote independence and safety, under supervision, and collaborate with care teams to support daily living activities.

Certified Occupational Therapist Assistant (COTA)

Position Overview:

Works under the supervision of a licensed Occupational Therapist to provide rehabilitative services that help residents improve or maintain their ability to perform daily living activities. The COTA implements individualized treatment plans to promote independence, safety, and overall quality of life.

Key Responsibilities:

• Plan and administer treatment programs for residents and patients with temporary or long-term disabilities to relieve pain, restore or improve function, and promote healing.

• Provide skilled occupational therapy interventions in accordance with physician orders and the established plan of care, under the supervision of the supervising Occupational Therapist.

• Educate residents, families, and staff regarding therapy goals, techniques, and outcomes.

• Demonstrate competent technical skills consistent with current COTA standards of practice.

Preferred Qualifications:

• Prior experience in a skilled nursing facility (SNF) or long-term care setting preferred.

• Strong knowledge of current treatment practices and therapy interventions.

• Familiarity with PCC or similar electronic documentation systems preferred.

• Ability to manage a diverse patient caseload while demonstrating professionalism and adaptability.
