Moorpark Unified School District is seeking an Occupational Therapy Assistant to implement therapeutic interventions and work collaboratively in supporting students' functional abilities. The role includes maintaining documentation and assisting in assessments. Ideal candidates will have relevant qualifications and a valid license.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:- Implement therapeutic activities and interventions designed by the Occupational Therapist; assist students with fine motor, gross motor, sensory processing, and self-care skills; use adaptive equipment and techniques to support students' functional abilities.- Work collaboratively with teachers, parents, and other school staff to support student needs; participate in Individualized Education Program (IEP) meetings as needed, providing input on student progress and goals.- Maintain accurate and timely documentation of student progress, treatment plans, and therapy sessions; report observations and progress to the supervising Occupational Therapist for review and further planning.- Assist the Occupational Therapist in conducting assessments and evaluations of students' abilities and needs; collect data and provide feedback on student performance during therapy sessions.
- Graduation from an accredited college with an AA or AS degree or equivalent in an Occupational Therapy Assistant program.- Valid license by the California Board of Occupational Therapy; Valid Driver’s License; proof of automobile insurance and access to an automobile.- NCPI Certificate
The written test will be given AS NEEDED (picture ID required). Late arrivals will not be admitted for testing. No cell phones, no calculator.
