Job summary

Award Care is looking for Certified Nursing Assistants (CNAs) to join our family in Florida. You will deliver direct care to residents, assist with daily living activities, and help maintain dignity and independence in a skilled nursing setting.

We welcome newly certified CNAs and offer FT Day and Night shifts (12 hours, 4 days off). Benefits include weekend diffs after 3 pm and a bi-weekly bonus of $225, with the Florida CNA license required.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or GED.
• Completion of a state-approved CNA certification and active Florida CNA license.
• Ability to read and communicate at a basic level to perform duties.
• Ability to treat seniors with dignity and respect.
• Able to communicate in a friendly, congenial manner.

Responsibilities

• Deliver direct care to residents per laws and standards.
• Assist with activities of daily living and mobility.
• Provide personal hygiene support and safety for residents.
• Light housekeeping, meals, and transportation tasks as needed.
• Observe and report health changes to the care team.
• Escort residents to dining and participate in routines.

About this position:Certified Nursing Assistants (CNA)

The Certified Nursing Assistant, delivers direct care to residents and patients in accordance with all applicable laws, regulations and life care standards in the health and rehabilitation center (skilled nursing home). CNAs will assists our residents with activities of daily living, personal hygiene and mobility, by prioritizing their wellbeing and ensuring they maintain their dignity and independence.

• Caring for the personal needs, safety, and comfort of our residents.

• Assist residents with activities of daily living including wardrobe, personal hygiene, and mobility.

• Aid in daily tasks such as, use of telephone, laundry, transportation, and mail delivery.

• Light housekeeping tasks and meal preparation.

• Medication reminders.

• Observe and report changes in residents' condition and status.

• Conduct rounds to monitor for hazards or incidents.

• Assist in dining including escorting residents to dining room, serving, and clean up.

• Companionship and conversation.

• Other duties as assigned.

Required Qualifications -Certified Nursing Assistants (CNA)

• High School diploma or GED.

• Must be 18 years of age.

• Completion of a state-approved CNA certified nursing assistant certification course and have an active CNA license with the State of Florida

• Ability to read and communicate at an adequate level to essential job duties.

• Ability to treat and care for seniors and their property with dignity and respect.

• Ability to communicate with clients in a friendly and congenial manner.

• Caregivers must complete our new hire orientation.
