Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED is required.
• Must be at least 18 years old.
• Completion of a state-approved CNA training program and certification is required.

Responsibilities

• Provide compassionate care focused on residents’ personal needs, safety, and comfort.
• Assist with activities of daily living, including dressing, grooming, hygiene, and mobility.
• Support residents with daily tasks such as telephone use, laundry, transportation, and mail.
• Perform light housekeeping duties and assist with meal preparation as needed.
• Provide medication reminders in accordance with facility guidelines.
• Observe, document, and report changes in residents’ condition or behavior.
• Conduct routine rounds to identify and address potential safety hazards or incidents.
• Assist during mealtimes, including escorting residents, serving meals, and cleanup.
• Offer companionship, emotional support, and positive social interaction.
• Perform other duties as assigned.

Position Overview

The Certified Nursing Assistant provides direct care to residents in accordance with applicable laws, regulations, and established standards within the skilled nursing and rehabilitation setting. CNAs play a vital role in supporting residents’ daily needs while promoting dignity, independence, and quality of life.
