Job summary

Legend Senior Living is seeking a Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) to join our nursing team and help residents with daily living activities. You will provide compassionate care, including personal care, meals, and social interaction, while maintaining resident dignity.

Weekend shifts are available and essential to our coverage. The role involves documenting care, communicating needs to the Health Care Director, and working with the team to ensure residents’ comfort and safety.

Qualifications

• Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) certification as required by state regulations.
• Previous experience in a similar role preferred but not required.

Responsibilities

• Assisting with the daily care of residents including personal care, grooming, hygiene, housekeeping, laundering, social interactions, and meals.
• Monitoring residents' physical and emotional comfort and responding as needed.
• Documenting tasks such as daily shift reports, resident records, and negotiated service agreements.
• Communicating clearly to other staff about urgent needs for the next shift and any concerns to the Health Care Director.
• Managing assigned tasks within the scheduled shift.
• Adhering to company policies, procedures and safety guidelines.

Requirements

We are looking for a committed individual with required certifications for a Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) as required by state regulations.

Responsibilities of this position would include but not be limited to:

• Assisting with the daily care of the residents, including: Personal care, grooming, hygiene, housekeeping, laundering, social interactions, and meals.
• Monitoring the resident's physical and emotional comfort and responding as needed
• Documenting completed tasks such as: Daily shift report, resident records and negotiated service agreement
• Confidentially communicating clearly to other staff, such as: Urgent needs for the next shift and all concerns to the Health Care Director
• Demonstrating the ability to manage assigned tasks within the scheduled shift
• Adhering to company policies, procedures and safety guidelines

Previous experience in a similar role is preferred, but it is not required.
