Job summary

PruittHealth Coastal Central is seeking a compassionate Certified Nursing Assistant to serve as Transportation Aide, ensuring safe, timely transport for patients to appointments and activities. You will assist with transfers, provide CNA care, and help maintain a caring transport environment.

Requirements include a valid CNA license, CPR, and a valid driver’s license. Prior experience with mobility devices is preferred.

Qualifications

• Must be a Certified Nursing Assistant with valid credentials.
• Valid driver's license and clean driving record.
• Experience with mobility devices and transfers preferred.

Responsibilities

• Transport patients to medical appointments, treatments, and approved outings safely.
• Assist patients entering and exiting vehicles using proper lifting, transfer, and mobility techniques.
• Provide hands-on CNA support including ADLs, personal care, and ambulation as needed.
• Maintain a positive, welcoming, and caring environment during transport interactions.
• Complete transportation logs, mileage documentation, and schedules accurately and on time.
• Uphold the highest standards of cleanliness and safety for all transport vehicles.
• Demonstrate adherence to infection control, safety regulations, and PruittHealth policies.
• Partner closely with nursing and administrative teams to coordinate smooth transport operations.

JOB PURPOSE

As a Transportation Aide / Certified Nursing Assistant at PruittHealth Coastal Central, you will play an essential role in ensuring our patients and residents receive safe, timely, and supportive transportation to appointments, therapies, and activities. KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

• Safely transport patients and residents to medical appointments, treatments, and approved outings
• Assist individuals entering and exiting vehicles using proper lifting, transfer, and mobility techniques
• Deliver hands‑on CNA support including ADLs, personal care, and ambulation as needed
• Maintain a positive, welcoming, and caring environment during all transport interactions
• Complete transportation logs, mileage documentation, and schedules accurately and on time
• Uphold the highest standards of cleanliness and safety for all transport vehicles
• Demonstrate adherence to infection control, safety regulations, and PruittHealth policies

Qualifications

MINIMUM EDUCATION REQUIRED

• High School diploma or GED
• CPR certification (or ability to obtain upon hire)

ADDITIONAL QUALIFICATIONS

• Valid driver’s license with a safe driving record -Motor Vehicle Record is required as part of pre‑employment.
• 1 year of experience in skilled nursing, senior living, home health, or patient transportation
• Familiarity with wheelchair lifts, securements, and mobility devices
• Ability to lift, transfer, and assist patients safely
• Excellent communication and service skills
