Harbor’s Edge in Norfolk, VA is seeking qualified CNAs to join our premier continuing care community. We offer part‑ and full‑time roles in a state‑of‑the‑art work environment with a focus on compassionate, person‑centered care across independent living, assisted living, memory support, and skilled nursing.

You will follow individualized care plans, assist with ADLs, monitor vital signs, document accurately, and support restorative programs while promoting dignity and safety.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• Current Virginia CNA certification and CPR/First Aid certification required.
• Minimum of one year of relevant work experience; long-term care or CCRC experience preferred.
• Knowledge of medical terminology, records, and equipment.

Responsibilities

• Follow individualized care plans and report changes to nursing staff.
• Provide direct personal care (bathing, grooming, toileting, feeding, oral hygiene).
• Assist with ADLs to promote independence and dignity.
• Obtain and document vital signs, weights, intake/output, and other observations.
• Support restorative nursing programs (positioning, mobility, ROM, skin care).
• Assist with transfers, ambulation, and mobility equipment use.
• Provide emotional support and engage residents in activities.
• Ensure safety and fall prevention; monitor high-risk residents.
• Assist with admissions, discharges, and transfers per policy.
• Maintain accurate documentation per standards.
• Communicate with nursing staff, residents, families, and teams.
• Follow infection control and safety protocols.
• Participate in training and team meetings.
