Job summary

Responsibilities

1. Provide general patient care and perform routine treatments and procedures as directed by the Registered Nurse.
2. Assist with personal hygiene to promote patient comfort and well-being.
3. Check and record intake and output as ordered.
4. Take and record patient's vital signs and other measurements as indicated.
5. Administer enemas, reinforce dressings, apply binders, collect specimens, and perform other routine tasks.
6. Assist the RN in caring for seriously ill patients or in complex treatments or procedures.
7. Maintain a safe and clean environment with well-stocked supplies and functioning equipment.
8. Maintain patient medical records accurately and legibly, documenting all care and significant information.
9. Observe patients and report any concerns or changes to the RN/Team Leader.
10. Attend seminars and inservices to stay current in the field.
11. Perform all other related duties as assigned.

Job Qualifications and Requirements

• Vocational/Technical training and more than six months of related experience or equivalent.
• RI State Nursing Assistant license is required.
