Position Purpose
We are seeking a compassionate, service-minded Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) to deliver high-quality personal care and activities of daily living (ADLs) directly to our residents. In this role, you will bridge the gap between skilled clinical tracking and hands-on personal support, ensuring every resident is treated with the loyalty, dignity, and kindness they deserve.
Key Responsibilities
- Activities of Daily Living (ADLs): Provide hands-on assistance with personal hygiene routines, including bathing, grooming, dressing, toileting, and dental care.
- Mobility & Transfers: Assist residents with lifting, turning, and safe positioning in bed, as well as safe transportation into and out of wheelchairs, lifts, and chairs using proper body mechanics.
- Nutritional Support: Coordinate mealtimes by managing dining room setup/clean-up, delivering meal trays, providing physical feeding assistance, and distributing nutritional supplements.
- Clinical Monitoring: Track and document vital stats, including weighing residents and checking skin integrity for pressure areas or tears. Immediately report changes to the nursing supervisor.
- Accurate Charting: Complete daily flow sheets and documentation reflecting all services performed during your shift in accordance with established care plans.
- Resident Advocacy: Actively protect resident rights, maintain strict HIPAA confidentiality, and immediately report any safety, compliance, or infection control concerns.
Qualifications: Required Qualifications
- Certification: Active Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) certification in good standing with the state (no disciplinary actions in effect).
- Education: High school diploma or equivalent.
- Credentials: Current CPR/BLS certification and a valid Food Handler Permit.
- Experience: One (1) year of experience as a CNA in a Skilled Nursing or Assisted Living facility is preferred, but not required.
- Language: Ability to read, write, speak, and understand English professionally.
Physical Requirements & Environment
- Ability to stand, walk, bend, stoop, kneel, and crouch for extended periods during the workday.
- Ability to lift, move, push, or pull a minimum of 35 pounds safely.
- Comfort working in a fast-paced environment with potential exposure to infectious materials, utilizing provided Personal Protective Equipment (PPE).
