Job summary

Nurse Next Door Home Care Services is seeking compassionate caregivers to provide in-home assistance across the Norfolk area. The role includes meal prep, light housekeeping, companionship and personal care aligned with each client’s care plan.

Candidates should have caregiving experience, CNA/PCA certification, and a valid driver’s license. The company emphasizes a supportive team, flexible hours, and 24/7 scheduling assistance. Must be able to work in the United States.

Qualifications

• Must be able to communicate verbally and in writing in English.
• A valid driver’s license and reliable vehicle.
• Proof of Health Care Certification (CNA/PCA) required.

Responsibilities

• Provide meal preparation, light housekeeping, companionship and personal care.
• Execute on the client’s care plan as outlined by the Care Designer.
• Meet safety needs of the client and use equipment safely and properly.
• Work within your experience and knowledge while adhering to the job description.
• Complete records and documentation accurately and thoroughly.
• Service the 757 area.
• Maintain all scheduled visit times (700-1500, 1500-2300, 2300-700).

Responsibilities And Duties

• Provide meal preparation, light housekeeping, and/or provide companionship and personal care
• Execute on the client’s care plan as outlined by the Care Designer
• Meet the safety needs of the client and use equipment safely and properly
• Function within the limits of your own experience and knowledge, while practicing safely and competently within the job description
• Complete records and documentation accurately and thoroughly
• Service the 757 area
• Looking for all visit times (700-1500, 1500-2300, 2300-700) weekdays and weekends

Requirements

• 1 year previous caregiving experience preferred
• Must be able to community verbally and in writing in English, other languages are an asset
• Proof of Health Care Certification (CNA/PCA)
• Current TB Screen and Criminal Record Check (provided)
• Must be able to legally work in the United States to apply for this position
• Valid driver’s license and a reliable motor vehicle are required
