Job summary

Margate Health and Rehabilitation in Jefferson North, North Carolina is seeking Certified Nursing Assistants (CNAs) on PM shift to join our team of dedicated health care professionals.

We offer a $5,000 sign-on bonus for full-time positions and require current nursing aide certification in North Carolina. Under the direction of the Director of Nursing, CNAs provide resident care, assist with daily living, take vital signs, and document care as part of a compassionate team.

Qualifications

• Current NC CNA certification is required.
• CNA duties include assisting with daily living and care per residents' plans.
• Good communication with residents, families and staff.

Responsibilities

• Supervise and assist residents with activities of daily living.
• Serve meals and assist with feeding as needed.
• Provide person-centered care according to each resident's plan.
• Take and record vital signs.
• Perform patient care as directed by RN/LPN.
• Respond to patient requests and communicate needs.
• Assist in transferring residents safely.
• Document care records for each resident each shift.
• Maintain cleanliness and dignity of residents.
• Demonstrate strong communication with residents and staff.

Under the direction and supervision of the Director of Nursing, the Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) responsibilities include, but are not limited to:

• Supervise and assist residents with activities of daily living
• Serve meals to residents and assist with feeding as needed
• Provide person-centered care to each resident based on their care plan
• Take and record vital signs
• Perform patient care as directed by RN/LPN in a safe manner according to policy and procedure
• Respond directly to patient requests and appropriately communicate the patient's needs
• Assist in properly transferring residents
• Document records of care for every assigned resident each shift
• Assure the cleanliness and dignity of each resident
• Possess good communication skills to interact with residents, their loved ones, and other staff members
