Corona Regional Medical Center in Corona, CA seeks a Med/Surg/Tele Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA). Working under the licensed nurse, you provide nursing care within your scope of practice following unit standards and hospital policies.

Qualifications

• Current BLS (CPR) required.

• Prior experience as a Monitor Tech preferred or completion of dysrhythmia for monitor techs course within 90 days.
• Completion of unit secretary course or equivalent healthcare experience prefer

Med/Surg/Tele Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) – located at Corona Regional Medical Center in Corona, CA

Working under the direction of the licensed nurse, the Certified Nurse Assistant provides nursing care within his/her scope of practice following unit specific standards of care and the policies and procedures of Corona Regional Medical Center.

The tradition of caring that culminated in the establishment of Corona Regional Medical Center® began in 1965, with the founding of Corona Community Hospital. Since that time the hospital has changed to meet the needs of the rapidly growing community. Corona Community Hospital merged with Circle City Medical Center in 1992 and the resulting entity became Corona Regional Medical Center. The merged hospitals are now a 238-bed community hospital network comprised of a 160-bed acute care hospital and a 78-bed rehabilitation campus. It is certified by The Joint Commission, employs more than 1,250 trained healthcare workers and has a medical staff of approximately 347 physicians representing more than 40 specialties.

Qualifications

Essential Knowledge/Skills

• Current BLS (CPR) required.
• Knowledge of medical terminology.
• Ability to exercise phone etiquette and computer skills.
• Verbal and written communication skills.
• Prior experience as a Monitor Tech preferred or completion of dysrhythmia for monitor techs course within 90 days.
• Completion of unit secretary course or equivalent healthcare experience prefer

Minimum Essential Experience

• Six months recent hospital (med/surg and/or psych) experience required.

Required Licenses/Certifications

• Must have current, valid Certified Nurse’s Assistant certification, or be currently enrolled in accredited Registered Nursing program with completion of the 1st clinical curriculum semester.
• Current BLS (CPR) Certificate required through the American Heart Association.
• Assaultive Behavior Management training required within 90 days from date of hire.
