Job summary

Corona Regional Medical Center is seeking a Perioperative Tech for per diem coverage in Corona, CA. You will assist in admission, transfer and discharge procedures and help prepare beds for incoming patients, ensuring patient safety and confidentiality.

Under RN/MD direction, you will assist with positioning and transfers in the OR, uphold infection control and PPE guidelines, and respond promptly to patient and visitor needs while supporting a collaborative surgical team.

Qualifications

• Effective verbal and written communication skills in English.
• Basic knowledge of good body mechanics.
• Two years of recent general medical experience.

Responsibilities

• Assist in admission, transfer and discharge procedures.

Perioperative Tech

Per Diem position located at Corona Regional Medical Center (CRMC) in Corona, CA

Reporting to the OR‑Surgrey Director and OP‑Manager to assist in and accompanies patients in the admission, transfer, and discharge procedure. Assists in the preparation of beds for receiving admissions, returning surgical patients, transfers or emergencies. Assures confidentiality of all patient information Responds to patient and visitor questions and needs immediately. Adheres to patient safety and general safety guidelines. Demonstrates understanding of infection control: hand washing, use of gloves and personal protective equipment. Use of hand washing gel/foams and decontamination of equipment prior to and after use. Knowledge of isolation protocols and PPE required. Assists with positioning and transfer of patients in the OR under direction of RN and/or MD.

Qualifications

Minimum Essential Experience

• Two (2) year of recent general medical experience.

Required Licensure / Certifications

• Current BLS certification required from American Heart Assoc.
