Job summary

Aspirus Chippewa Falls Hospital in Chippewa Falls, WI is seeking a Certified Nursing Assistant to join our MED/SURG team. The CNA provides patient care under the direction of a Registered Nurse, supporting the care team across 12-hour shifts. Hours are supplemental at 0.3 FTE, with 24 hours biweekly.

Qualified candidates will have a CNA course, High School diploma or GED, and BLS certification. Wisconsin Nurse Aide Registry activation is required, with certification maintained during employment.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or GED or equivalent with CNA course completion.
• One year of CNA experience in acute care beneficial.
• BLS certification required or obtained within 90 days of hire.

Responsibilities

• Assist with patient care under the supervision of a Registered Nurse.
• Support the MED/SURG team in daily patient care activities.
• Maintain basic patient records and report changes to the RN.

Aspirus Chippewa Falls Hospital in Chippewa Falls, WI is seeking a CERTIFIED NURSING ASSISTANT to join our MED/SURG team!

The Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) is a member of the patient care team and is responsible for assisting with providing patient care under the general direction of a Registered Nurse.

HOURS: Supplemental 0.3 FTE, 24 Hours Biweekly - 12-hour shifts

Experience/Qualifications

• Knowledge of patient care standards and practices normally acquired through completion of a High School diploma, GED, or equivalent combination of education and experience and completion of a nursing assistant course.
• One year of experience as a nursing assistant in an acute care setting beneficial or previous work experience in a post-acute care setting or nursing home beneficial.
• Prior listing on the Wisconsin Nurse Aide Registry required with current registry recommended.
• For Home Health, and Hospice - Current CNA certification required and required to maintain certification throughout employment in this role.
• Current BLS certification or obtained within 90 days of hire - All clinical personnel in identified job codes are required to maintain Basic Life Support (BLS) training through independent study, online manikin and knowledge testing. An acceptable training program is the Basic Life Support (BLS) Health Care Provider course from the American Heart Association or the American Red Cross Professional Rescuer Program with AED. Aspirus Chippewa Falls Hospital and Clinic is scheduled to open in September of 2026.
