Aspirus Ironwood Hospital in Ironwood, MI is seeking a Certified Nursing Assistant to join our team and deliver compassionate care under RN supervision.

The CNA provides nursing care within the scope of practice, with duties including direct patient assistance and safety, while supporting the clinical team in a fast-paced hospital setting.

Qualifications

• BLS required within 90 days of hire.
• Michigan certification as a CNA required.
• Knowledge of computer applications and EMR.
• Previous experience in an acute health care setting preferred.

Responsibilities

• Provides nursing care within the scope of a CNA, under the direction of the registered nurse.
• Assists with patient care tasks as assigned by the RN.
• Supports patient safety, comfort, and dignity during care.

The CNA Provides nursing care, within the scope of a CNA, to assigned patients under the direction of the registered nurse.

HOURS: Full Time; 0.9 FTE or 72 hours per pay period. Varied Shifts

Experience/Qualifications

Aspirus Ironwood Hospital includes a 25-bed critical access hospital, multi-specialty clinic, satellite clinic in Wisconsin, surgical clinic, walk-in clinic and a home health agency. Ironwood's service area covers approximately 30,000 people. The hospital has a 4 bed ICU, 3 bed OB unit, and 4 surgical units. The emergency department is staffed 24/7 with ER physicians, with approximately 12,000 visits annually. The hospital's inpatient census is 10 patients per day. The outpatient clinic has over 50,000 visits annually.
