Job summary

Southern Regional Medical Center in Riverdale, GA, part of the Prime Healthcare family, is seeking a CNA II to provide essential nursing care during night shifts on a full-time basis.

You will assist with activities of daily living, monitor vital signs, perform glucose checks, collect specimens, and help maintain a safe, compassionate environment under the supervision of a Registered Nurse. Knowledge of medical terminology and phlebotomy certification are required.

Qualifications

• Must hold a current CNA certificate at hire.
• Must have BLS on hire and maintain.
• Phlebotomy certification or competency required.
• Knowledge of Medical Terminology is required.

Responsibilities

• Assist with activities of daily living and basic nursing care.
• Maintain a safe environment under RN supervision.
• Record routine clinical tasks: vital signs, glucose checks, specimens collection.

Responsibilities

The CNA II department is a certified assistive person who assists with activities of daily living, provides basic nursing care to non-critical patients and assists in maintenance of a safe environment under the direction and supervision of the Registered Nurse in charge of the team and/or unit. Performs and records routine technical tasks such as vital signs, glucose monitoring, phlebotomy, collection of specimens, intake/output, and mass.

Qualifications

EDUCATION, EXPERIENCE, TRAINING

• 1. Current Certified Nursing Assistant certificate upon hire, required.
• 2. Current BLS upon hire and maintain current.
• 3. Possesses knowledge of Medical Terminology.
• 4. Current Phlebotomy certification or Competency required.
• 5. Minimum six months of previous experience in an acute care hospital or physician’s office preferred.
