Job summary

Ingleside at King Farm in Rockville, MD is seeking a CNA I (formerly GNA) for our senior living community on a part-time basis. Shifts include 4 days per period with Tue/Sat and Sun/Fri 3pm-11pm; wage rate ranges from $19.85 to $23.74 per hour, commensurate with experience.

The position emphasizes compassionate patient care, assisting with daily living activities, vital signs, mobility, and reporting changes to nursing staff.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• CNA I certification or equivalent preferred.

Responsibilities

• Assist patients with activities of daily living (bathing, dressing, grooming, toileting, mobility).
• Measure and record vital signs and intake/output.
• Support mobility and positioning; maintain a clean, safe environment.

Job Requirements:

High school diploma or general education degree (GED), one (1) to three (3) years of clinical nursing experience and CNA I (formerly GNA) required; or equivalent combination of education and experience. Incumbent should be able to apply common sense understanding to carry out instructions furnished in written and oral form, possess high-quality verbal and written communication ability, strong customer service and interpersonal skills, and be knowledgeable in restorative and medical nursing principles and practices.

Job Summary:

Key Responsibilities:

• Assist patients with activities of daily living (bathing, dressing, grooming, toileting, mobility)

• Support patient mobility, transfers, and proper positioning
• Maintain a clean, safe, and comfortable patient environment
• Assist with feeding and personal hygiene
• Observe and promptly report changes in patient condition to nursing staff
• Follow infection control, safety, and HIPAA guidelines
• Provide compassionate emotional support to patients and families
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills
• Ability to perform physical tasks (lifting, standing, assisting mobility)
