LifeBridge Health's Levindale Hebrew Geriatric Center in Baltimore is seeking a Certified Nursing Assistant I for the Burk 1 long-term care unit to provide hands-on daily care, support residents' comfort, and enhance independence on a pulmonary-focused program.

The role emphasizes patient dignity, transfers, ADLs, and accurate charting in Synquest, with on-site training and opportunities for tuition reimbursement and career growth within the LifeBridge system.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required.
• Maryland CNA I / GNA certification required.
• Current American Heart Association BLS/CPR certification required.

Responsibilities

• Assist residents with Activities of Daily Living (bathing, dressing, grooming, toileting, feeding).
• Support residents with complex pulmonary needs and tracheostomies using specialty beds and equipment.
• Assist with transfers, ambulation, and positioning using mobility equipment.
• Assist with admissions, discharges, and resident transport as needed.
• Document care and observations accurately in the electronic medical record (Synquest).

Certified Nursing Assistant I - Long Term Care (GNA/CNA)

Burk 1 is a 17-bed long-term care unit at Levindale Hebrew Geriatric Center, specializing in pulmonary care for residents managing chronic and acute conditions, including chronic tracheostomies. As a Certified Nursing Assistant on this unit, you'll provide hands-on daily care and support residents' comfort and independence, while gaining experience in complex pulmonary and long-term care that's hard to find on a general unit.

Experience

• Less than 1 year of healthcare experience required; long-term care experience preferred

Skills & Knowledge

• Basic computer skills and familiarity with electronic health records (Synquest preferred)
• Experience with Hoyer lifts, specialty beds, and resident mobility equipment preferred
• Strong communication, teamwork, and customer service skills
