Lutheran Senior Services is seeking a caring Certified Nursing Assistant to provide daily supportive and functional care to residents in a compassionate environment. You will work as part of an interdisciplinary team, focusing on resident-directed care and dignity.

Responsibilities include assisting with activities of daily living, documenting care, and participating in care/service plans. Candidates must hold a current CNA certification in MO or IL and meet registry eligibility requirements in

• Current CNA certification in MO or IL.
• Enrollment or eligibility for PA Nurse Aide Registry within 120 days of training completion.
• Ability to communicate effectively with residents.

Responsibilities

• Maintain residents’ comfort and assist with activities of daily living; respond to calls and requests.
• Support personal care needs while promoting independence and dignity.
• Observe residents and report changes to the nurse.
• Participate in care/service plans to improve residents’ lives.
• Assist during meals and feeding as needed.
• Build meaningful relationships with residents and families with compassion.
• Encourage resident involvement in daily activities and decisions.
• Assist with therapies and treatments under licensed staff guidance.
• Document care provided in clinical records.
• Maintain a clean, safe environment and adhere to safety guidelines.

Works as a collaborative member of an interdisciplinary team that focuses on the resident as the director of their own care.Job Responsibilities1. Maintains residents’ comfort; provides physical care with activities of daily living according to scope of practice; answers resident’s call lights and requests; reports observations of residents to the nurse2. Handles residents’ personal care needs and support in a timely manner; helps maintain residents’ dignity by letting them do as much for themselves as possible3.
