Job summary

Lutheran Senior Services is seeking a compassionate Certified Nursing Assistant to provide daily supportive care to residents in a collaborative interdisciplinary team. You will assist with activities of daily living, respond to call lights, and support residents to maintain dignity and independence under nursing leadership.

Responsibilities include observing residents, documenting care, assisting with meals, participating in care/service plans, and helping with therapies under licensed staff.

Qualifications

• CNA certification required in MO or IL; PA enrollment considered for PA state registry within 120 days of training completion.
• Candidate should be able to communicate clearly with residents and families.
• Experience in direct patient/resident care preferred.
• Must be part of a person-centered care team and collaborate with licensed staff.

Responsibilities

• Maintains residents’ comfort and cares for ADLs according to scope of practice.
• Responds to call lights and requests; reports observations to the nurse.
• Observes residents to identify changing needs and communicates them.
• Participates in care/service plans to improve residents’ lives.
• Assists with mealtimes and feeds residents needing full assistance.
• Builds meaningful relationships with residents and families; provides compassionate support.
• Assists residents in daily activities and with decisions about daily routines.
• Supports therapies and treatments under licensed staff supervision.
• Documents care provided in clinical records with accuracy.
• Maintains a clean and safe environment for residents.
