Smith County Health and Rehab is hiring Weekend Warrior CNAs for day and night shifts. We are a 128-bed facility in the Cumberland River Valley, focused on compassionate care and team support. Qualifications

• Must possess and maintain a current state CNA certification.
• One year of CNA experience in long-term care is highly preferred.

Responsibilities

• Attend to the individual needs of residents, including bathing, feeding, dressing, and ambulating.
• Take and record patient vital signs and assist with lifting, moving and transporting residents.
• Recognize and report changes in resident conditions to a nurse.
• Communicate effectively with residents, families, and staff.
• Report abnormal changes or patterns to nursing staff.
• Assist the nurse with duties as directed.

Shift Positions- 6 am-6 pm and 6 pm-6 am

CNA's are responsible for the following:

• Attend to the individual needs of residents, including bathing, feeding, dressing, and ambulating.
• Responsible for taking and recording patient vital signs lifting, moving and transporting residents, using proper body mechanics.
• Recognizing and reporting changes in resident conditions to a nurse management. Asking appropriate questions to clarify situations.
• Communicate and interact effectively and tactfully with the residents, visitors, families, peers and supervisors.
• Reporting abnormal changes or patterns to nursing staff.
• Demonstrating the ability to assist the nurse with various duties as directed.

CNA Requirements:

• At least one year of experience as a CNA in a Long Term Care setting is highly preferred.
• Must possess and maintain a current state certification as a CNA.
• Knowledge of MatrixCare preferred.
