Job summary

Otterbein SeniorLife in Ohio is seeking a compassionate Certified Nursing Assistant - CNA/STNA to join our caring team. We value person-centered care and partner with residents to preserve independence and dignity in daily activities.

We offer full-time, part-time and PRN roles with shifts 1st, 2nd and 3rd. Starting pay is $17 per hour with shift differentials: $3 for 2nd shift and $1.50 for 3rd. Benefits include health, vision, dental, paid time off, life insurance, and a 401(k) plan.

Qualifications

• CNA/STNA certification required in Ohio; must pass the state test and be listed on Nurse Aide Registry.
• Good documentation, communication and interpersonal skills; proper lift technique required.

Responsibilities

• Care for residents needing help with bathing, eating, ambulating, and hair care.
• Provide a wide range of support services under the supervision of a nurse.
• Help residents stay comfortable and independent in daily life.
• Provide accurate, timely care documentation.
• Plan and prepare meals with residents and share meals.
• Laundry and light housekeeping; perform other duties as assigned.

Pay: Starting from $17.00 increases with experience plus Shift Differential for 2nd shift $3.00 and 3rd shift $1.50

Responsibilities:

• Care for the residents who need assistance with day-to-day tasks such as bathing, eating, ambulating, and hair care.
• Provide a wide range of support services under the supervision of a nurse.
• Help our residents feel comfortable and as independent as possible while they live their daily lives.
• Provide accurate, efficient and timely care documentation.
• Planning and cooking their favorite foods and eating a meal with them.
• Laundry and light housekeeping tasks.
• Perform other duties as need arises and/or assigned

Qualifications:

• Certification: Certified Nursing Assistant - CNA/STNA certification required in the State of Ohio. Applicants must pass the state test and be listed on the Nurse Aide Registry.
• Experience: Good documentation, communication and interpersonal skills; must be able to use proper lift technique and lift equipment to move, lift and transfer residents.
