Job summary

Otterbein SeniorLife is seeking skilled, compassionate Part-time Night Shift Certified Nursing Assistants (CNA/STNA) for 12-hour shifts in our Ohio community. You will support residents’ independence, assist with daily activities, and document care accurately under nursing supervision.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or equivalent is required.

Responsibilities

• Care for residents needing help with bathing, eating, ambulation, and hair care.
• Provide a wide range of support services under supervision of a nurse.

Status

Part-time from 7:00 p.m. - 7:30 a.m., every other weekend and holiday

Pay

Starting from $18.50/hour in Skilled Nursing, increases with experience.

Shift differential of $3.00/hour paid for hours worked from 3:00 p.m. - 11:00 p.m. and $1.50/hour shift differential for hours worked from 11:00 p.m. - 7:00 a.m.

Responsibilities

• Care for the residents who need assistance with day-to-day tasks such as bathing, eating, ambulatory, and hair care.
• Provide a wide range of support services under the supervision of a nurse.
• Help our residents feel comfortable and as independent as possible while they live their daily lives.
• Provide accurate, efficient and timely care documentation.
• Perform other duties as need arises and/or assigned.

Qualifications

• Education: High School diploma or equivalent
• Certification: Certified Nursing Assistant - CNA/STNA certification required in the State of Ohio. Applicants must pass the state test and be listed on the Nurse Aide Registry. However, see below for our offer of on-the-job assistance in getting this certification!
• Experience: good documentation, communication and interpersonal skills; must be able to use proper lift technique and lift equipment to move, lift and transfer residents
