Senior Lifestyle is seeking a dedicated CNA to join our care team in Gorham, ME. This full-time role includes evening shifts (2:30PM–11:00PM) and weekend coverage; you will assist with daily living activities, vital signs, and mobility support under nurse supervision.

You will contribute to care plans, support residents emotionally, and ensure dignity and safety while maintaining confidentiality and teamwork with staff.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED or equivalent with related training
• State CNA licensure may be required depending on state
• One or more years in clinical/nursing settings
• English proficiency to perform duties and emergency communication
• Able to use basic computer systems for documentation

Responsibilities

• Take and record vital signs.
• Measure height, weight, and fluid intake/output.
• Report abnormal changes to supervisor.
• Assist with medication reminders, bathing, grooming, dressing, and activities of daily living.
• Transfer, position, and turn residents; provide skin care and rehab/restorative nursing.

This position is responsible for caring for the residents under the direction and supervision of a Registered Nurse (RN), LPN/LVN, or Director of Nursing.

Job Description

• Full-time evening shifts, 2:30PM - 11:00PM, and shifts every other weekend are preferred.
• Take and record vital signs.
• Measure and record height, weight, and fluid intake/output.
• Recognize abnormal changes in body functioning and importance of reporting such changes to a supervisor.
• Assist as needed with medication reminders, bathing, grooming, dressing, escort service, and other activities of daily living.
• Transfer, position, and turn residents.
• Provide skin care to residents.
• Contribute to the resident’s assessment and the plan of care.
• Provide nursing rehabilitation/restorative nursing services.
• Follow the schedule of resident’s needs set out by supervisor.
• Provide emotional and social support to residents.
• Promote and protect resident rights, assist residents in making informed decisions, treat residents with dignity and respect, protect resident’s personal belongings, report suspected abuse or neglect, avoid the need for physical restraints in accordance with the current professional standards, and support independent expression, choice, and decision-making consistent with applicable law and regulation.
• Inform supervisor of any resident issues or concerns.
• Respect and encourage the independence and dignity of the residents.
• Respect residents’ confidentiality.

Qualifications

Level of Formal Education: A High School Diploma or General Education Degree; or one to three months related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience

Special Certifications: CNA licensure depending on state requirements and regulations
