Job summary

The Stepping Stones Group is seeking a Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) for a contracted, school-based placement in Cranston, RI for the 26/27 school year. This part-time private duty/1:1 role supports a local K-12 district with nursing services.

You will provide direct 1:1 care, assist with care plans, and collaborate with school staff under the supervision of a nurse. This role emphasizes reliability, punctuality, and the ability to work independently in a school setting.

Qualifications

• Active CNA Certification.
• BLS CPR Certification.
• School experience preferred.
• Demonstrated competency in pediatric care, assessments and independent work.
• MUST demonstrate reliability, punctuality and accountability.

Responsibilities

• Provide 1:1 support for students with needs ranging from developmental to medically fragile.
• Implement care plans as directed by the school nurse.

MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS

• Active CNA Certification
• BLS CPR Certification
• School experience preferred
• Demonstrated competency in the specific skills required for the assigned student including:
  • Pediatric skillset
  • Strong assessment and critical thinking skills
  • Ability to work independently
• MUST demonstrate reliability, punctuality and accountability

• Provide all 1:1 support for students with needs ranging from developmental, behavioral, or physical disabilities, or medically fragile students
• Implement care plans as directed by school nurse
• Assist with adaptive equipment and assistive devices
• Document care and communicate with school teams
