Job summary

PAM Health Wiregrass Ranch is opening a brand-new rehabilitation hospital this fall and is seeking a Certified Nursing Assistant to help shape patient care from the start. The CNA will support nurses by performing essential patient care activities under supervision, ensuring safety and comfort for patients in a fast-paced rehab setting.

Requirements include a high school diploma or equivalent, state CNA certification, and current BLS.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
• CNA certification required by state where hospital resides.
• Current BLS certification required.

Responsibilities

• Assist with basic patient care activities under supervision of a Registered Nurse or Licensed Vocational Nurse.
• Perform duties in accordance with PAM Health policies, procedures and guidelines.
• Do not administer medications or therapies; follow supervision and safety protocols.
• Complete other related duties as assigned or requested by nursing staff.

Responsibilities

TheCertified Nursing Assistant (CNA)is responsible for performing various patient care activities and accommodative services under the general supervision of a Registered or Licensed Vocational/Practical Nurse. Performs patient care activities within the limits of the position. Does not administer medications or therapy. Does not assume independent responsibility for patient care. Job duties are accomplished in a manner consistent with the policies, procedures and guidelines of PAM Health. Performs other related duties as assigned or requested.

Qualifications

• Education and Training: High school graduate or equivalent preferred. Certification as a nursing assistant (CNA) where required by state where the hospital resides. Current BLS certification is required.
• Experience: None required. A minimum of two (2) to three (3) years of experience in an acute hospital, rehabilitation hospital, or skilled nursing unit is preferred.
