Job summary

Select Specialty Hospital in Gainesville, FL is seeking a Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) for per-diem shifts, with day and night availability. You will provide compassionate care to critically ill patients, assist with activities of daily living, and support the care team in a dynamic inpatient setting.

Responsibilities include bathing, oral hygiene, feeding support, hourly rounds, patient transport, and maintaining clean, stocked rooms.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED or 3+ years relevant work experience.
• BLS certification required within 90 days of hire.
• Hospital CNA experience or related field (i.e. medical assistant, actively enrolled RN student) preferred.

Responsibilities

• Bathing patients using basin-less products and assisting with oral hygiene.
• Assist with oral feeding and hair care.
• Participate in hourly rounds.
• Transport patients to and from treatment centers and assist movers with stretchers and wheelchairs.
• Maintain cleanliness of bedpans, urinals, wheelchairs and other instruments.
• Keep patient rooms clean and orderly; maintain unit stock levels of supplies.

Minimum Qualifications

• High school diploma/GED OR relevant work experience (3+ years)
• BLS is required within 90 days of hire
• Hospital experience as a nursing assistant, certification as a nursing assistant or experience in a related field (i.e. medical assistant, actively enrolled RN student)
