Job summary

United Methodist Communities is seeking a per diem Certified Nursing Assistant to support residents across our assisted living and skilled nursing communities in Northern New Jersey. You will pick shifts that fit your schedule and provide essential daily care aligned with each resident's care plan.

Responsibilities

• Pick up shifts that fit your schedule across our communities.
• Assist residents with daily personal care such as bathing, grooming, dressing.
• Follow care plans and document care to support continuity.
• Make rounds to check in on residents during shifts.
• Assist at mealtimes and with mobility equipment as needed.
• Build relationships with residents and work with a consistent care team.

What You’ll Do

• Pick up shifts that fit your schedule across our assisted living and skilled nursing communities
• Help residents with daily personal care: bathing, grooming, dressing, and hygiene
• Follow each resident’s care plan and document care to support continuity
• Make regular rounds to check in on residents throughout your shift
• Assist residents at mealtimes and with mobility equipment
• Build real relationships with residents and work alongside a consistent care team

What You’ll Need

Required:

• Active, unencumbered New Jersey CNA certification
• Current flu vaccination (medical and religious exemptions considered)
• 18 years of age or older
• Ability to read, write, speak, and understand English

Preferred:

• 6 months of experience in a long-term care setting

Pay & Schedule

• $24.00 per hour base rate
• Per diem: day, evening, and night shifts available, choose your own schedule

Serving residents in Bergen, Passaic, Essex, Hudson, Morris, Sussex, Union, and Warren counties.
