Job summary

Baptist Medical Center South in Jacksonville, FL seeks a Certified Nursing Assistant for the Progressive Care Unit. This full-time night shift runs 7:00 PM to 7:00 AM, 36 hours per week, providing direct patient care under RN supervision.

Responsibilities include assisting with ADLs, maintaining safety, collecting lab specimens, monitoring intake/output, and EMR documentation. Requires CNA certification and high school diploma; BLS preferred.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required.
• Licensed Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) is required.
• Basic Life Support (BLS) preferred.

Responsibilities

• Assist patients with activities of daily living and basic care.
• Maintain a safe environment for patients at all times.
• Collect lab specimens as directed and support specimen handling.
• Monitor intake and output and document in EMR.
• Document care and interventions in the Electronic Medical Record system.
• Perform other duties as assigned by the RN or supervisor.

Baptist Medical Center is looking to add a Certified Nursing Assistant in our Progressive Care Unit at Baptist South in Jacksonville, FL.

This is a Full-Time Nights opportunity working 36 hours per week, 7:00pm-7:00am. The Certified Nursing Assistant will be responsible for assisting the Registered Nurse (RN) with the care of patients who have healthcare needs including:

• Patient activities of daily living
• Maintaining a safe environment for patients
• Collecting lab specimens
• Intake and output monitoring
• Electronic medical record (EMR) documentation
• Other duties and responsibilities as assigned
