Baptist Health in Richmond, KY is seeking a Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) to support Telemetry units on a full-time shift (7P-7A). The CNAs provide direct patient care, assist with hygiene, monitoring, and documentation, and collaborate closely with RNs to ensure quality care for patients with medical/surgical and telemetry needs.

Requirements include Kentucky Nurse Aide Certification (or progression in nursing program) and BLS. A high school diploma or equivalent is required.

Qualifications

• Current Kentucky Nurse Aide Certification required or successful completion of first year of a Nursing program and validation of a clinical rotation.
• High School Diploma or equivalent required.
• Basic Life Support must be obtained within 30 days of hire.

Responsibilities

• Assist patients with personal hygiene (bathing, oral care, hair, nails).
• Assist with bowel and bladder functions while maintaining dignity.
• Record intake and output (I&O).
• Collect, label and transport specimens for labs.
• Change and transport soiled linens; maintain clean patient rooms.
• Assist with activity, turning and repositioning as directed by the nurse.
• Communicate pertinent patient information to the nurse.
• Set priorities for care of multiple patients.

This unit specializes in general medical surgical and telemetry patients such as but not limited to pneumonia, ESRD, Stroke, CHF and chest pain patients. Post-operative patients such as GU, Urology, Orthopedics, Bariatrics, Heart Cath/PCI. The population has multiple co-morbidities and complex care. The patient population is admitted / transferred from ICU, ED and PACU.**Tele 3** is a 22-bed telemetry unit. This unit specializes in general medical surgical and telemetry patients such as but not limited to pneumonia, ESRD, Stroke CHF and chest pain patients. Post-operative patients such as GU, Urology, Orthopedics, Bariatrics, Heart Cath/PCI. The population has multiple co-morbidities and complex care. The patient population is admitted / transferred from ICU, ED and PACU.**State Registered Nurse Assistant**Under the direction and supervision of a registered nurse (RN) or other licensed care team member, the Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) provides direct and indirect patient care. The CNA provides excellence in patient care while respecting human dignity and the uniqueness of everyone.
