Baptist Health is seeking a Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) for the Telemetry units on the night shift. The role provides direct and indirect patient care in a high-acuity medical-surgical setting, focusing on compassionate, patient-centered care.

Responsibilities include hygiene assistance, I&O recording, patient transport, and timely reporting to registered nurses. Required Kentucky CNA certification and BLS within 30 days of hire; high school diploma or GED is expected.

Responsibilities

• Assist patients with personal hygiene (bathing, dental care, grooming).
• Record intake and output (I&O) accurately for nursing staff.
• Assist with mobility, turning, and positioning as ordered.
• Transport specimens and assist with sample collection as needed.
• Communicate patient information and changes to the nurse in charge.

This unit specializes in general medical surgical and telemetry patients such as but not limited to pneumonia, ESRD, Stroke, CHF and chest pain patients. Post-operative patients such as GU, Urology, Orthopedics, Bariatrics, Heart Cath/PCI. The population has multiple co-morbidities and complex care. The patient population is admitted / transferred from ICU, ED and PACU.Tele 3 is a 22-bed telemetry unit. This unit specializes in general medical surgical and telemetry patients such as but not limited to pneumonia, ESRD, Stroke CHF and chest pain patients. Post-operative patients such as GU, Urology, Orthopedics, Bariatrics, Heart Cath/PCI. The population has multiple co-morbidities and complex care. The patient population is admitted / transferred from ICU, ED and PACU.State Registered Nurse AssistantUnder the direction and supervision of a registered nurse (RN) or other licensed care team member, the Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) provides direct and indirect patient care. The CNA provides excellence in patient care while respecting human dignity and the uniqueness of everyone.
