Job summary

Paragon Management SNF, LLC is actively seeking Certified Nursing Assistants (CNAs) to join their team. This position is Part-time with no benefits and requires weekend availability, plus some holidays.

Under supervision, CNAs provide basic nursing support, assist with bathing, grooming, ambulation, meals, and daily living activities while maintaining resident comfort and dignity. Active NYS CNA certification is required.

Qualifications

Responsibilities

• Observe residents and report unusual conditions to nurse.
• Assist with activities of daily living, grooming and hygiene.
• Transferring, ambulation, ROM and proper body alignment.
• Serve meals, feed residents and document meals.
• Maintain orderly rooms and accessible call cords.
• Assist in resident care meetings and training orientation.
• Perform other duties as assigned.

The successful CNA candidate will be available on weekends,and some holidays.

Responsibilities and Duties:

Under the supervision of the Nurse, the Certified NursingAssistant / CNA provides assistance to the professional nursing staff in orderto meet the personal needs and comfort of the resident. Duties will includebathing, oral care, incontinence care, ambulation, activities, administeringnourishment, and some minor treatments as assigned.

TECHNICAL COMPETENCIES of the Certified Nursing Assistant/ CNA:

• Generalknowledge of the health care needs of geriatric residents.
• Generalknowledge of Infection Control practices and Procedures includingProtective Equipment and Universal Precautions
• Generalknowledge of assisted feeding, nourishment, and accurate record keeping.
• Generalknowledge of ADL’s and psychological needs of the geriatric resident.
• Knowledgeof taking vital signs and weights and recording of the same.
• Abilityto cooperate with personnel from all departments; remain levelheadedduring emergencies and treat resident information as confidentialmaterials

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS of the Certified Nursing Assistant /CNA:

• Observesresidents and reports any unusual condition, accident or incident tonurse.
• Assistsin any accident and incident investigations.
• Participatesin informal/formal resident care meetings.
• Performsduties as instructed by written assignment which includes resident care tobe provided i.e. activities of daily living, grooming and hygiene,transferring ambulation, ROM and proper body alignment, transporting toactivities and scheduled appointment
• Assistswith serving meals, feeding residents and meal documentation
• Maintainsorderly resident rooms and assures that the call cord is within easy reachof the resident at all times.
• Makesrounds on assigned residents at the beginning of each shift and at leastevery hour thereafter.
• Carefor clean and soiled linen.
• Assistsin the orientation of training of new CNA’s on the floor as necessary.
• Attendsall required In-service training.
• Performsother duties as assigned.

Requirements:

• ActiveNYS CNA Certification

Salary:$28.61 per hour
