Job summary

West Anaheim Medical Center in Anaheim, CA, is seeking a dedicated CNA for our Float Pool to assist with activities of daily living, provide basic nursing care, and support patient safety under RN supervision.

Qualifications

• Current Certified Nursing Assistant certificate upon hire.
• Current BLS (AHA) upon hire and maintain current.
• Possesses knowledge of Medical Terminology.
• Minimum six months previous experience in an acute care hospital or physician’s office preferred.
• Minimum six months experience in an acute care hospital or Skilled Nursing to float to the Subacute unit, required.

Responsibilities

• The CNA in the Float Pool assists with activities of daily living and provides basic nursing care to non-critical patients under the direction of the Registered Nurse in charge of the team and/or unit.
• CNAs in the Float Pool will be assigned as needed to MedSurg, Geropsych, Telemetry, DOU, ICU/CCU, Subacute and Emergency Department.

Responsibilities

The CNA in the Float Pool is an unlicensed assistive person who assists with activities of daily living, provides basic nursing care to non-critical patients and assists in maintenance of a safe environment under the direction and supervision of the Registered Nurse in charge of the team and/or unit. The CNAs in the Float Pool will be assigned as needed to the following departments, MedSurg, Geropsych, Telemetry, DOU, ICU/CCU, Subacute and Emergency Department.

The exact starting compensation to be offered will be determined at the time of selecting an applicant for hire, in which a wide range of factors will be considered, including but not limited to, skillset, years of applicable experience, education, credentials and licensure.
