Job summary

West Anaheim Medical Center, a 219-bed acute care hospital and a member of Prime Healthcare, is seeking a Certified Nursing Assistant for Telemetry on the night shift. The CNA provides basic nursing care and assists with activities of daily living under the supervision of the RN in charge.

Educational requirements include a CNA certificate and current BLS, with knowledge of medical terminology. Six months of acute care or physician’s office experience is preferred. Competitive benefits apply.

Responsibilities

The CNA in the Telemetry Department is a certified assistive person who assists with activities of daily living, provides basic nursing care to non-critical patients and assists in maintenance of a safe environment under the direction and supervision of the Registered Nurse in charge of the team and/or unit.

Qualifications

EDUCATION, EXPERIENCE, TRAINING

• Current Certified Nursing Assistant certificate upon hire, required.
• Current BLS upon hire and maintain current.
• Possesses knowledge of Medical Terminology.
• Minimum six months of previous experience in an acute care hospital or physician’s office preferred.

The exact starting compensation to be offered will be determined at the time of selecting an applicant for hire, in which a wide range of factors will be considered, including but not limited to, skillset, years of applicable experience, education, credentials and licensure.
