Job summary

Heritage Wellness & Rehabilitation in Independence, MO is seeking compassionate Certified Nursing Assistants (CNAs) for the Night Shift to join our growing nursing team. You will provide resident-centered care under the supervision of a licensed nurse, supporting daily living activities and promoting dignity and comfort.

Qualifications

• Current Missouri CNA certification in good standing.
• State-approved Nurse Aide Training Program completed.
• BLS/CPR certification preferred.
• Prior experience in skilled nursing or long-term care preferred but not required.
• Strong communication and teamwork skills.
• Compassionate, dependable and committed to resident care.

Responsibilities

• Provide exceptional resident-centered care under licensed nurse supervision.
• Assist with activities of daily living (bathing, dressing, grooming, toileting).
• Assist with transfers, ambulation and mobility devices.
• Take and record vital signs and report changes promptly.
• Respond to resident call lights with compassionate assistance.
• Assist with meals, hydration, and feeding as needed.
• Maintain clean, comfortable resident rooms and change linens as necessary.
• Observe and report changes in resident condition to the nursing team.
• Document care accurately and completely and follow infection control policies.
• Communicate effectively with residents, families, and the interdisciplinary care team.

Position Summary

The Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) provides compassionate, hands-on care to residents while promoting dignity, independence, safety, and comfort. Working under the supervision of a licensed nurse, you'll assist residents with activities of daily living and play a vital role in helping them achieve the highest possible quality of life.

Responsibilities

• Provide exceptional resident-centered care in accordance with individualized care plans
• Assist residents with activities of daily living (ADLs), including bathing, dressing, grooming, toileting, oral hygiene, and personal care
• Assist with transfers, ambulation, repositioning, and use of mobility equipment
• Take and record vital signs and promptly report changes in resident conditionAnswer resident call lights quickly and provide compassionate assistance
• Assist with meals, hydration, and feeding as needed
• Maintain clean, comfortable resident rooms and change bed linens as necessary
• Observe and report physical, emotional, or behavioral changes to the licensed nurse
• Document resident care accurately and completely
• Follow infection prevention and infection control policies and procedures
• Communicate effectively with residents, families, nurses, and the interdisciplinary care team
• Promote resident dignity, respect, and quality of life at all times

Qualifications

• Current Missouri Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) certification in good standing
• Successful completion of a State-Approved Nurse Aide Training Program
• Current BLS/CPR Certification preferred
• Previous experience in skilled nursing, long-term care, rehabilitation, hospital, assisted living, memory care, or healthcare is preferred but not required
• Strong communication and teamwork skills
• Compassionate, dependable, and committed to providing outstanding resident care
