Job summary

MaineHealth Accountable Care Organization is seeking a Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) for the Medical Surgical unit. The CNA provides basic nursing care under the direction of a Registered Nurse within a Safe Patient Family Centered Care model.

Sign-on bonuses are available: $2,500 for 0-1 year experience and $4,000 for 1+ year experience (full-time). Part-time bonuses prorated. BLS certification and active CNA license required within 30 days of start; high school diploma or GED preferred.

For a limited time MaineHealth offerings sign on bonuses for Certified Nursing Assistants:

0-1 years of experience eligible for $2,500 (full time)

1+ years of experience eligible for $4,000 (full time)

Eligible candidates are hired (offer accepted) into a Full or Part time CNA position. Bonus amount prorated for Part time hires, per diem hires are ineligible.

Current Maine Health member employees are ineligible; former MaineHealth Members are ineligible until greater than 6 months separation from employment.

Summary: The Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) I provides basic level CNA care assisting in the administration of nursing care to designated patients under the direction and supervision of a Registered Nurse.

Required Minimum Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities (KSAs)

• Education: High school diploma or GED preferred
• License/Certifications: Current applicable state(s) license as a Certified Nursing Assistant required. Current BLS certification required or must be obtained within 30 days of start date.
• Experience: Less than six months of CNA experience

The pay range for this position is $20.27 to $24.36 per hour.

Compensation for part-time positions is determined on a prorated basis consistent with the scheduled hours and applicable full-time equivalent (FTE).
