Job summary

The Certified Nursing Assistant II role at MaineHealth Franklin Hospital provides per diem, 12-hour shift nursing support under the supervision of an RN. You will perform a variety of direct and indirect care duties to support patient care in Med Surg / ICU.

A current CNA or LNA license in the state is required, with BLS either current or to be obtained within 30 days. Minimum six months CNA/LNA experience is expected.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED preferred.
• Current CNA/LNA license in applicable state; BLS required or within 30 days of start date.
• Minimum 6 months CNA/LNA experience and competency in essential functions.

Responsibilities

• Assist in administration of nursing care under RN supervision.
• Perform direct and indirect care duties as assigned.
• Maintain patient safety and comfort and document care provided.

Summary

The Certified Nursing Assistant II role assists in the administration of nursing care to designated patients under the direction and supervision of a Registered Nurse. Performs a variety of direct and indirect care duties.

Required Minimum Knowledge, Skills, And Abilities (KSAs)

• Education: High school diploma or GED preferred
• License/Certifications: Current applicable state(s) license as a Certified (CNA) or Licensed (LNA) Nursing Assistant required. Current BLS certification required or must be obtained within 30 days of start date.
• Experience: At least six months of CNA/LNA experience required. Demonstrates competency in all essential functions, clinical competencies and clinical knowledge of a Certified Nursing Assistant I.

The pay range for this position is $20.68 to $25.10 per hour.

Compensation for part-time positions is determined on a prorated basis consistent with the scheduled hours and applicable full-time equivalent (FTE).
