Weekly Hours: Varies

Salary Range: $17.00 - $25.50

Department Details

  • Support multiple locations within 150 miles of your permanent address
  • Mileage reimbursement
  • Additional $5 per hour float premium
  • Additional $1.25 per hour weekend shift differential
  • Additional $1.25 per hour evening/night shift differential (6:00pm – 6:00am)
  • Work at least 24 hours per month
  • Work at least one weekend rotation per month
  • 3 months of previous experience in Long Term Care required; 6 months preferred
  • No contract required

Job Summary

The Nursing Assistant (NA) serves as a caregiver to residents during scheduled work periods in long-term care. Provides resident-centered nursing care and daily living assistance under the supervision of an RN. Delivers age-appropriate care related to physical and psychological needs, following care plans. Follows infection prevention policies and PPE use. Assists with activities like bathing, toileting, grooming, dressing, vital signs, psychosocial support, and personal care. Helps with transfers, repositioning, walking, and exercises. Supports food preparation, dining, and assists residents with meals and hydration. Aids providers and nursing staff with procedures, documents interactions, and communicates changes. Collects specimens and vital signs, provides housekeeping and laundry services, and encourages participation in wellness and recreational activities. May participate in committees and task forces.

Qualifications

  • High school diploma or GED preferred; minimum age 16.
  • Prior clinical or nursing assistant experience in long-term care preferred.
  • Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) certification with the State Board of Nursing or in process of obtaining certification within four months.
  • Colorado: QMAP certification may be required depending on the facility.
  • Complete yearly competency testing and maintain continuing education (minimum 12 hours annually).
  • Registered with the UAP Registry if applicable.
  • Dependent on responsibilities, may require a valid driver’s license and medical qualification to perform driving functions.
