Every other weekend and holiday commitment, with Saturday & Sunday 12-hour shifts rotating day/night. Sometimes includes Friday & Saturday.

Summary

The Nursing Assistant (NA) serves as a caregiver to patients during scheduled work periods, providing patient-centered nursing care and assistance with daily living activities under supervision of a Registered Nurse (RN) or Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN).

Job Responsibilities

• Assist with basic healthcare needs including bathing, grooming, toileting, eating, meal prep, and emotional/spiritual support.
• Administer delegated tasks and treatments, record vital signs and health information.
• Collect non-invasive biological specimens as needed.
• Perform clerical work related to scheduling and documentation.
• Prepare treatment areas, clean medical equipment, dispose biomedical waste per standards.
• Clean patient living or treatment areas.
• Provide one-on-one patient care when necessary for safety.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED preferred but not required.
• Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) preferred; otherwise, obtain and maintain required competencies and certifications.
• In North Dakota, must be on the Nurse Aide Registry within four months of employment if not CNA certified.
