Job summary

Tanner Health is seeking a compassionate Certified Nursing Assistant to provide safe and quality hospice care to patients in their homes. You will follow the plan of care established by the RN case manager and maintain patient confidentiality at all times.

The role requires travel to various home environments and the ability to read and follow written and verbal instructions, with a strong emphasis on professional appearance and reliability.

Qualifications

• 1 year related experience; hospice experience preferred.

Job description

Responsible to provide safe, quality, effective care to all patients in compliance with Hospice policies, procedures, and guidelines set forth by state and federal regulatory departments. Must maintain patient confidentiality at all times. Follow the patient plan of care established by the RN case manager.

Education

Experience

One year of related experience. Requires a working knowledge of standard practices and procedures.

Qualifications

• Ability to drive own vehicle.
• At least two years certified nursing assistant experience with preferably one year experience in the Hospice setting.
• Demonstrates the ability to travel extensively during all seasons and to work in various home conditions / environments as assigned.
• Emotionally mature and stable.
• Good verbal and written communications required.
• Must be able to read and write and be able to follow written and verbal instructions effectively.
• Must be at least (18) years of age.
• Must have and must maintain divers license, reliable transportation, and valid automobile coverage.
• Neat, pleasant demeanor and professional appearance.
• Skilled in nursing personal care and able to cope with family emotional stress and tolerant of individual lifestyles.
• BLS Certification must be obtained within 30 days from hire.
