Job summary

BAYADA Home Health Care is seeking an experienced Certified Nurse Aide (CNA) for a per diem opportunity to work with adult and senior clients on a per visit basis. You will travel between multiple client homes per day, so reliable transportation is required.

You will be part of a multi-disciplinary team delivering home health, skilled nursing and rehabilitative care to help clients remain in their homes.

Qualifications

• Minimum of one year CNA work experience.
• Must be listed on Colorado Nurse Aide Registry, active and in good standing.
• Ability to read, write, and communicate in English.
• Must pass BAYADA Competency Evaluation Examination.
• Criminal background check completed and clear.
• Meet all state requirements for CNA practice.

Responsibilities

• Assist with activities of daily living.
• Provide light housekeeping and grooming support.
• Assist with bathing, toileting, nail care and range-of-motion exercises.
• Support transfers and use of mechanical lifting devices.
• Assist with oral feeding and monitor vital signs.
• Complete home management tasks, such as laundry and meal prep.
• Support client mobility and ambulation as needed.
• Provide medication assistance per plan of care.

Job description

As a CNA, you will be an integral member of a multi-disciplinary health care team that provides home health, skilled nursing and rehabilitative care to clients, affording them the opportunity to receive the medical care required to remain at home.

A Certified Nurse Aide must:

• Have at least one year of work experience
• Must be listed on the Colorado Nurse Aide Registry, active and in good standing.
• Demonstrate an ability to read, write, and effectively communicate in English
• Pass the BAYADA Competency Evaluation Examination
• Have a criminal background check completed
• Meet all state requirements

Job Responsibilities for a CNA:

• Activities of daily living
• Light housekeeping
• Bathing
• Grooming
• Toileting
• Nail care
• Range of motion / exercises
• Transfers / use of mechanical lifting devices
• Oral feeding
• Vital sign checks: temperature, pulse, respiration
• Home Management Tasks: laundry, meal preparation, bed making etc.
• Assisting with ambulation
• Medication assistance

Additional Information:

• Base Pay: $25-30 per visit, based on qualifications
• Mileage reimbursement
