Care Options for Kids in Ruskin, FL is seeking Certified Nursing Assistants or Home Health Aides for one-on-one in-home care. The position focuses on pediatric and adult clients with flexible part-time hours and a nearby location zip 33570.

Qualifications

• Education: High school diploma or GED preferred.

Responsibilities

• Provide personal care per RN assignment: hygiene, ambulation, eating, dressing, and transfers.
• Maintain a clean, safe environment with light cleaning and organizing living areas.
• Measure intake/output and monitor temperature, pulse, respiration, BP.
• Keep records of personal health care activities.
• Observe changes and report to the RN.

Care Options for Kids specializes in one on one hourly pediatric and adult care in the home. Must be near the city of Ruskin zip code: 33570

Pediatrics: A sweet 6 year old little boy is seeking a caregiver for the following available days/hours:

Monday 1pm-8pm; Tuesday-Friday 2pm-8pm

Responsibilities of Certified Nursing Assistants (CNAs) or Home Health Aides (HHAs)

• Perform all personal care activities contained in a written assignment by the Registered Nurse (RN) which may include, but not be limited to, assisting the patient orclient with personal hygiene, ambulation, eating, dressing, shaving, andphysical transfer.
• Maintain a clean, safe, and healthy environment, which may includelight cleaning and straightening of the bathroom, straightening the sleeping andliving areas, washing the patient's or client's dishes or laundry, and such tasks to maintain cleanliness and safety for the patient or client.
• Measuring intake and output of fluids, andmeasure temperature, pulse, respiration, or blood pressure.
• Keep records of personal health care activities.
• Observe appearance and gross behavioral changes in the patient or client,reporting to the Registered Nurse (RN).

Requirements for Certified Nursing Assistants (CNAs) or Home Health Aides (HHAs)

Education:High school diploma or GED preferred.

Experience:A minimum of 1 yearof experience in home care is preferred.

Licensure/Certification:

• Current, valid Florida CNA license OR 40-75 hour Home Health Aide Certificate
• Current BLS CPRCertification (obtained in-person, not online)
• TB Skin Test (PPD) or TB Blood Test (QF)
• Alzheimer's training - 2 Hour DOEA Approved Course (provided at no cost if needed)
• 1- Hour DOEA Alzheimer's Video (provided free of cost on DOEA website)
• Assistance with Self-Administration of MedicationCEU (minimum of 2 hours)
• HIV/AIDsCEU
