Job summary

Select Medical’s Orlando Central facility is seeking a Certified Nursing Assistant to provide compassionate post-ICU care in a 12-hour night-shift schedule. This role emphasizes patient bathing, oral hygiene, mobility assistance, and daily rounds, with a focus on maintaining clean, organized patient areas and equipment.

The team supports growth through an orientation program and continued education opportunities.

Qualifications

• High school diploma/GED or 3+ years of related work experience.
• BLS certification required within 90 days of hire.
• Experience as a nursing assistant in a hospital or related field or CNA certification.

Responsibilities

• Bathing patients using basin-less bath products and providing oral hygiene and feeding care.
• Participate in hourly rounds.
• Transport patients to treatment centers and assist with movement of patients in stretchers and wheelchairs.
• Maintain cleanliness of instruments and equipment (bedpans, urinals, wheelchairs).
• Keep patient rooms clean and orderly; maintain unit stock levels of supplies and equipment.
• Performs other duties as assigned.

Responsibilities

• Perform services for patients including bathing using basin-less bath products, oral hygiene, oral feeding and care of hair
• Participate in hourly rounds
• Transport patients to and from various treatment centers when necessary, and assist transporters in moving patients in and out of stretchers and wheelchairs
• Maintain the cleanliness of various instruments and equipment such as bedpans, urinals and wheelchairs
• Keep patients’ rooms in clean and orderly condition
• Maintain unit stock levels of supplies and equipment as directed
• Performs other duties as assigned

Qualifications

Minimum Qualifications

• High school diploma/GED OR relevant work experience (3+ years)
• BLS is required within 90 days of hire
• Hospital experience as a nursing assistant, certification as a nursing assistant or experience in a related field (i.e. medical assistant, actively enrolled RN student)
